Jews attacked for praying on Temple Mount

Five Jewish men were arrested on Wednesday (May 8, 2013) for quietly praying atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, an expression of faith that caused the many Muslims around them to explode in fury. Police stationed at the sensitive holy site said a mob of Muslims gathered around the Jewish men, hurling insults and nearly coming to blows before Islamic officials stepped in to restore calm on the condition the Jewish worshipers be arrested. Israel celebrates reunification of Jerusalem

Israelis on Wednesday (May 8, 2013) marked Jerusalem Day, the 46th anniversary of the reunification of the city during the Six Day War. Israel never intended to reunite Jerusalem when it launched a preemptive strike on the gathering armies of Egypt and Syria in 1967. But when Jordan’s King Hussein succumbed to Egyptian pressure and opened a third front against the Jewish state, the opportunity to fulfill the hopes of generations presented itself. (more…)

 

Senior PA officials praise violence against Israel

Senior PA official praises murderer and another official swears: “If we had a nuke, we’d have used it this very morning” Senior PA official Sultan Abu Al-Einein about murderer who stabbed Israeli to death last week: “We salute the heroic fighter…[who] went against the settler and killed him. Blessings to the breast that nursed [him]” Senior PA official Jibril Rajoub: “I swear that if we had a nuke, we’d have used it this very morning.” (more…)

 

SHAVOUOTH – FEAST OF WEEKS

By Rev Willem Glashouwer.. It is celebrated 50 days after the Feast of Firstfruits and it is the 4th of the Feasts of Spring. Shavouoth means ‘weeks’. So 7 weeks were counted from the Feast of Firstfruits, and the firstfruit offerings of the summer wheat crop was brought into the Temple – whereas at the Feast of Firstfruits marked the beginning of the spring barley harvest. This festival is also referred to ‘Atzeret’ – meaning conclusion, because it is the conclusion of the Passover season. No more major holidays until the autumn. (more…)

One day Jesus will come back in Glory. He will sit on the throne of his father David and that throne stood in Jerusalem. He will rule among Jacob, which means Israel. Netanyahu keeps promise to Obama, curbs Jewish home-building

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday (May 7, 2013) honored a promise he made to the Obama Administration to curb the right of Jews to build homes in Judea, Samaria and on the eastern side of Jerusalem. Washington is engaged in yet another push to restart the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, and Netanyahu pledged to halt all Jewish housing projects until June to give those efforts a chance. Either Netanyahu really believes the “Two-State Solution”, or he is just pretending he does because it looks and feels good. In 280-279 BCE, Greek King Pyrrhus’ army suffered irreplaceable casualties in defeating the Romans at Heraclea and at Asculum. The Maturation of Indo-Israeli Ties

Israel has emerged as a major Indian trading partner in the Middle East with bilateral trade rising from a meager US$100 million to over $6.6 billion. Cooperation in the military-security arena has similarly grown and there are widespread popular exchanges between the people of the two countries. The Israeli ambassador is the most sought after diplomat in New Delhi after his U.S. counterpart, and Indo-Israeli ties seem extraordinarily robust. Yet failure to acknowledge the limitations of this relationship would be costly. (more…)
