220 Airstrikes on Palestinians; World Yawns

editor 2 May 2018

By Khaled Abu Toameh.. Dropping barrels of dynamite on houses and hospitals in a Palestinian refugee camp is apparently of no interest to those who pretend to champion Palestinians around the world. Nor does the issue seem to move the UN Security Council. UNRWA said that of the estimated 438,000 Palestine refugees remaining inside Syria, more than 95% (418,000) are in critical need of sustained humanitarian assistance. The Lie of Palestinian ‘Refugees’

editor 10 April 2018

By Jerold Auerbach.. As Israel approaches its 70th anniversary of independence, the time has come to finally resolve the Palestinian refugee problem. By that, I mean the real one — and not the fake news incessantly circulated by Palestinians, their left-wing allies and UNRWA (the organization that nourishes itself on the ever-growing population of invented refugees). Reframing the Middle Eastern and Palestinian Refugee Crises

editor 16 March 2018

By Dr. Alex Joffe and Dr. Asaf Romirowsky.. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: There are two Middle Eastern refugee crises currently vying for resources and attention. One is nominally focused on Syria but in fact extends from Libya to Afghanistan. The other crisis is Palestinian and has supposedly been going on since 1948. A closer look at the causes of these crises shows the former to be primarily the result of the collapsing Arab state system and the rise of militant Islam, while the latter cannot be considered a crisis at all. editor 16 February 2018

By Gregg Roman – Israel Hayom.. U.S. President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address (January 30, 2018), alongside reports that his administration intends to put an end to the problematic definition of Palestinian refugeeism by which descendants of refugees are also granted refugee status, constitutes an important turning point in efforts to settle the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Trump’s Business Approach to Foreign Aid Diplomacy

editor 10 February 2018

By Prof. Eytan Gilboa.. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Until now, two approaches have dominated American foreign aid: the strategic and the humanitarian. Trump has added a third: the “business approach.” The strategic is based on interests, the humanitarian on compassion, and the business on yield. The great powers use the strategic approach and the Europeans the humanitarian. The business approach now guides US aid to the Palestinians. Trump has threatened to cut off US aid to the Palestinians if they refuse to negotiate with Israel, and cut US allocations to UNRWA. Free the Palestinians: End UNRWA funding

editor 13 January 2018

By Shoshana Bryen.. It is time to resolve the issue of the imprisoned Palestinian population. The one imprisoned by the United Nations and its own unrealistic vision of the future. President Donald Trump’s announcement that the U.S. contribution to United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) could be eliminated might be the catalyst important and positive changes, if people can get over the moaning and crying about killing poor refugee babies. It’s not likely. (more…)

‘US Congressmen to investigate UNRWA schools for inciting terrorism’

editor 23 June 2016

By Ariel Ben Solomon.. Members of the US House of Representatives are investigating incitement to terrorism in the UN Relief and Works Agency schools, Rep. Doug Lamborn (CO) told The Jerusalem Post on Monday (June 20, 2016). “Congress has been asking questions about UNRWA for years, and it is important that we continue to do so until we are sure that the curriculum used and the teaching the children receive does not poison their minds,” Lamborn said. A 10-Step Process: How US Secretary of State John Kerry Could Bring Abbas and the Palestinian Authority to the Peace Table

editor 15 April 2013

By David Bedein.. This week, US Secretary of State John Kerry announced that he will use his visit to the Middle East to implore the Palestinian Authority to return to peace talks with Israel.

Here is a suggested 10-step process for how the Hon. John Kerry could, indeed, conduct an inquiry about the readiness of the PA to assume a posture of peace. (more…)
