Poll: 40% of British Jews Consider Emigration, 90% Cite Anti-Semitism

editor 27 September 2018

By JNS.. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10.

“I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety. They will be my people, and I will be their God.” Jeremiah 32:37-38.

Due to rising anti-Semitism in the United Kingdom, 40 percent of British Jews have considered leaving the country, up from 31 percent in 2017. With 90 percent of British Jews citing issues associated with the Labour Party, many of them acknowledged considering or taking concrete measures to emigrate. editor 25 September 2018

By TheTower.org Staff.. A Jewish Labour MP was forced to rely on police protection at the party’s annual conference that kicked off yesterday, as a colleague said anti-Semitic Labour members should be send to Auschwitz to learn the consequences of hatred towards Jews, The Times reported Monday (September 24, 2018).

Luciana Berger, the MP for Liverpool, was escorted by two police officers as she returned to the conference hall, after attending an anti-Semitism rally in her constituency organized by the Jewish Labour Movement. (more…)

The West’s Antisemitism Crisis

editor 13 September 2018

By Melanie Phillips.. Antisemitism is now a major issue in the West. In Britain, there are continuing convulsions over rampant antisemitism in the Labour Party. In America, there was outrage over the presence of the virulent Jew-hater Louis Farrakhan at Aretha Franklin’s funeral. In France and other European countries, Jews are under siege from violent Muslims. The really disturbing thing, though, is that so many are not outraged by this. AIPAC loses the script

editor 11 September 2018

By Caroline Glick.. By the time the British Labour Party finally bowed to public pressure and adopted the full definition of antisemitism determined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance on Wednesday (September 5, 2018), the move was no longer meaningful. After a summer of insisting that it’s okay to say Zionism is Nazism and that Zionists have no sense of irony, no one is so deluded as to believe that Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn or his supporters are anything but Jew-hating bigots. The BBC Promotes What It Previously Called ‘Conspiracy Theories’ to Smear Israel

editor 28 July 2018

By Hadar Sela.. On the morning of July 22, the IDF announced the completion of the overnight evacuation of 800 Syrian “White Helmets” personnel and their families from southern Syria through Israel into Jordan. The evacuation took place from Quneitra, which straddles the frontier with the Golan Heights and where the civil defense team was trapped. … The evacuees arrived at the border with Israel, and the IDF opened the gates and let them through. Medical treatment was provided to those in need, and the evacuees were provided with food and water. The Prince and the President

editor 28 June 2018

Prince William’s problematic visit to Israel

editor 26 June 2018

By Caroline Glick..Israel was established 70 years ago. But June 25 will be the first time the Jewish state has ever been the destination for a British royal visit. For 70 years, the British Royal family has boycotted Israel and so refused to officially come to terms with its very existence. It isn’t that Israel has been completely overlooked. While Queen Elizabeth II, who has clocked more travel hours than any other British sovereign, has made a point never to step foot in Israel, her husband Prince Philip and her son Charles, the Prince of Wales, have come to Israel on private visits. Prince Charles attended the funerals of the late Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres on such “private” trips. Speech by the UK Foreign Secretary to the UN Human Rights Council

editor 20 June 2018

By Foreign & Commonwealth Office and The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP.. Your Excellencies, Ladies and gentlemen, I want to begin on behalf of the UK by thanking High Commissioner Hussein for his service and for his tireless efforts for speaking up for human rights around the world. And I’m delighted to be here because, at its best, this Council has shone a spotlight on appalling violations of human rights in specific countries – as we’ve just heard – and given a voice to people who would otherwise have suffered in silence. Britain considers this Council to be part of the rules-based international system in which we believe and that we strive to protect. Livingstone Departure: Labour’s Cynical Totem

editor 6 June 2018

By Melanie Phillips.. Ken Livingstone has now resigned from the Labour party. So what? His departure will not lance the boil of Labour party antisemitism. First, Livingstone has still not resiled from his claim that Hitler supported Zionism, nor has he admitted to antisemitism; even today he has doubled down on his position. He used the standard excuse that he was resigning simply because he had become a “distraction” to Labour’s opposition to the government.  (more…)
