Israeli wall rising near border with Lebanon stokes tensions

editor 15 September 2018

By Ilan Ben Zion.. Israel is building a massive wall along its northern border, saying the barrier is needed to protect civilians from Hezbollah attacks, but the project has raised tensions with Lebanon, which fears the fence will encroach on its territory. The Israeli military insists the entire barrier is being constructed in Israeli territory, and the U.N. peacekeeping force in the area agrees. The Great Middle Eastern War of 2019

editor 15 September 2018

By Maj. Nadav Ben Hour, IDF and Michael Eisenstadt.. Far from simply replaying the 2006 Lebanon war, the next conflict on Israel’s northern frontier will likely involve many more actors on multiple fronts, raising unprecedented challenges for escalation management. Growing tensions on Israel’s northern border have raised concerns about yet another Israel-Hezbollah confrontation or a war between Israel and Iran in Syria. Such a war may not be limited to the original participants, but could involve an array of Shi’a militias and even the Assad regime, and could span the region—thereby affecting vital U.S. interests. The Jewish foundations under Mount Zion.

editor 14 September 2018

By I24News.. Mount Zion, South West of Jerusalem’s Old City, sits on top of thousands of years of history. The DEI is a German Evangelical organisation which runs archaeological excavations on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. Archeologists recently discovered evidence of Hasmonean construction from the time of the Second Temple. I24News Jordana Miller tells the story. Watch the video below. Will there be a sea change in the Middle East?

editor 14 September 2018

By Norman A. Bailey.. It is true that the one thing we know nothing about is the future. It is also true that of all the regions of the world, that which is most unstable and thus unpredictable is the Middle East. What is true today was not true yesterday and will very likely not be true tomorrow. [Photo top right: Illustration of a money change office in the ultra orthodox Jewish town of Bnei Brak. What apartheid?

editor 13 September 2018

By Smadar Bat Adam.. Despite what the Arab Higher Monitor Committee would have you believe with its decision to organize protests against Israel’s “racism” and “apartheid,” ever since 2009, the right-wing governments of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have led to unprecedented advancements in the quality of life of the country’s non-Jewish citizens. This important process is still in full swing. That is a fact. [Photo top right: Engineers are working underground, building a new set of sewage pipes in Netanya. On Sep 6, 2011. Trump’s peace process starts with ending the fake one

editor 13 September 2018

By Caroline Glick.. President Donald Trump’s decision last week to defund the UN Refugee Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA) may not seems as significant as recognising that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital and transferring the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. But it is. Both actions involve rejecting myths embedded in the failed peace process between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Both actions ground U.S. Middle East policy in reality. [Photo top right: Palestinian policeman poses on the roof of the ancient synagog after enterace to the city of Jericho.Friday May 13 1994. The West’s Antisemitism Crisis

editor 13 September 2018

By Melanie Phillips.. Antisemitism is now a major issue in the West. In Britain, there are continuing convulsions over rampant antisemitism in the Labour Party. In America, there was outrage over the presence of the virulent Jew-hater Louis Farrakhan at Aretha Franklin’s funeral. In France and other European countries, Jews are under siege from violent Muslims. The really disturbing thing, though, is that so many are not outraged by this. Israel: Covenants & Kingdom (52) – Kingdom and Covenants

editor 12 September 2018

By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer.. From the book “Israel: Covenants & Kingdom”

Chapter 7 – Jerusalem
Introduction
“…But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and He will give you rest from all your enemies around you so that you live in safety. Then to the place the LORD your God will choose as a dwelling for His name – there you shall bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and the special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the LORD. And there rejoice before the LORD your God, you, your sons and daughters, your men- servants and maidservants…” (Deuteronomy 12:10-12). AIPAC loses the script

editor 11 September 2018

By Caroline Glick.. By the time the British Labour Party finally bowed to public pressure and adopted the full definition of antisemitism determined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance on Wednesday (September 5, 2018), the move was no longer meaningful. After a summer of insisting that it’s okay to say Zionism is Nazism and that Zionists have no sense of irony, no one is so deluded as to believe that Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn or his supporters are anything but Jew-hating bigots.
