Focus on the Future (Series 3 / Episode 8)

editor 5 June 2013

By Rev Willem Glashouwer.. When you look at the future the Bible speaks very clearly about the end times. And part of the end times is also about the coming of what the Bible calls “antichrist”. The word antichrist has two parts. The word anti and Christ. Anti in Greek means “instead of”, “in the place of”. So antichrist means “a christ” instead of Christ. “A Christ” in the place of Christ. “The prince of peace” in the place of the true Prince of Peace, who is Jesus. So antichrist is a kind of savior instead of the true Savior. (more…)

Focus on the Future (Series 3 / Episode 7)

editor 29 May 2013

By Rev Willem Glashouwer.. A lot of people talk about end times, “we are living in the end times” they say. How do they know? Some say: “well, they have talked about the end times for thousands of years already and nothing happened. How do you know that today is the end times?” How do you even know when these end times started? The Bible tells us that the end times started the moment that Jesus Christ was born upon this earth. Focus on the Future (Series 2, Episode 9)

editor 11 April 2013

By Rev Willem Glashouwer.. Why end times? Because the Bible speaks about it. God knows the history of this world. He knows what is going to happen to planet earth. He leads the history of this world towards His goal. And His goal is the coming of His Kingdom and the coming of Jesus in glory! Imagine it for a minute that the clouds open up, that the Shekinah Glory of God covering the Holiness of God will bring Jesus back to planet earth. That is going to happen, but before that happens there will be a dark period. (more…)

Focus On The Future (Series 2, Episode 4)

Rev. Willem Glashouwer 5 March 2013

We are living in the final days of this phase of world history. And the Bible calls these days the last days. And the last hour of these last days will be characterized by the coming of a figure that the Bible calls the antichrist. The lawless one, the beast, as the apostle John speaks about him. There is something that is restraining him, holding him back, so that evil cannot fully come to the surface that not the powers of darkness can take over yet. So he cannot yet manifest himself. But one day he will. In Rev. 13:7 you can read that one day he will have full control over all the nations, the tribes, the languages of the world. What kind of an empire will the empire of antichrist be? What is the meaning of the word “antichrist”? (more…)

Focus On The Future (Series 2, Episode 2)

Rev. Willem Glashouwer 19 February 2013

The Bible clearly teaches us that we are in the end times. The things that are happening in the world around us that you daily see on the news have to do with the end times. The signs of the times are becoming more and more visible. One of the signs of the times that the Bible speaks about is the coming of the antichrist. The end times started when Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem and they last for already almost two thousand years, but John writes that in the last hour of the last days the antichrist is coming. The Origin of Antichrist

editor 4 December 2012

By Dr. Tony Garland..  Q. I’ve often heard prophecy teachers say that in every generation Satan has someone that he is grooming for the possibility to become the Antichrist. However, today I was reading a piece on a Facebook page which states that “Satan will someday impregnate a Roman woman who will give birth to Satan’s seed who is going to be the Antichrist.” If this is true then would that not defeat this idea of Satan grooming [preparing] someone in every generation to take on that role? Abraham – Babylon – Astrology (part 4)

Rev. Willem Glashouwer 23 November 2011

NIMROD
Nimrod means: ‘rebel’, ‘agitator’, and ‘revolutionary’. It is said of the antichrist in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 “He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped …” and in Daniel 8:25 it is said of him “He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power …”
