Israel accuses Iran of harboring ‘secret atomic warehouse’

editor 3 October 2018

By Jennifer Peltz and Angela Charlton | AP.. UNITED NATIONS — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran on Thursday (September 27, 2018) of keeping a “secret atomic warehouse” just outside its capital, despite the 2015 deal with world powers that was meant to keep it from obtaining nuclear weapons. Hours later, Iran dismissed the allegation.

Holding up a poster-board map of an area near Tehran as he spoke at the U.N. General Assembly, Netanyahu told world leaders that Iranian officials have been keeping up to 300 tons of nuclear equipment and material in a walled, unremarkable-looking property near a rug-cleaning operation. (more…)

Mullahs want to fly 300 million euros in cash from Germany to Iran

editor 16 July 2018

By Nikolaus Blome and Antje Schippmann.. This plan will probably lead to serious diplomatic difficulties between Germany, the US, and Israel.

According to information available to BILD, the Iranian regime intends to fly 300 million euros in cash from Germany to Iran. The background is that, in the coming months, strict US sanctions against the Iranian financial sector will come into effect. The mullahs are worried that they will run out of cash. Iran’s justification for their plan says that they need the money “to pass it on to Iranian individuals who, when travelling abroad, are dependent on euros in cash due to their lack of access to accepted credit cards”. US Jewish and Pro-Israel Groups Extol Trump’s Withdrawal From Iran Nuclear Deal

editor 9 May 2018

By Algemeiner Staff.. Top US Jewish and pro-Israel groups reacted on Tuesday (May 8, 2018) — largely with praise — to President Donald Trump’s announcement of America’s withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal.

An edited sampling of these responses can be read below:

Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations Chairman Stephen Greenberg and Executive Vice Chairman and CEO Malcolm Hoenlein said, “The president’s declaration reflects frustration with Iranian behavior following the implementation of the JCPOA. While there are some differences of views as to the most effective approach, the Conference of Presidents has clearly and consistently called for an agreement which would ensure that Iran never obtains a nuclear weapons capability that would augment its ability to create mayhem in the region through its support of terrorism.” [Photo top right: A military truck carrying a missile and a picture of Iran’s leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei drives in a parade marking the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq war in Tehran. Opinion: End of Obama Could Mean End of Trickery on Iran

editor 22 November 2016

By Amir Taheri.. On several occasions during the presidential election campaign, Donald Trump spoke of “tearing up” President Barack Obama’s so-called nuclear deal with Iran. The Islamic Republic President Hasan Rouhani, however, has insisted that President Trump won’t be able to do that. In a sense, Rouhani is right: there is no duly negotiated, approved and signed agreement to tear up. What we have is a fiction that Obama, helped by the Rafsanjani faction in Tehran and the European Union, has sold to world public opinion. (more…)

Cuba, Iran’s island in the sun

editor 31 October 2016

By Emanuele Ottolenghi.. The Obama administration thinks Iran’s influence in Latin America is waning. That means it does not view the 80 or so cultural centers Iran has established across Central and South America as a threat. Tehran begs to differ. It views these centers as a vehicle for the spread of its revolutionary ideology to America’s backyard. Iran’s official state visits, diplomatic agreements, commercial relations and volume of trade with the region do not come out to much. (more…)

Netanyahu Has a Message For the American People that Obama has Been Completely Ignoring

editor 7 September 2016

By PM Benjamin Netanyahu.. To the West, Islamic State is currently the biggest threat to stability. The real threat, however, is Iran, with or without nuclear weapons. Iran is threatened by IS but they still threaten Israel and US interests. It is only a matter of how much of a threat Iran poses and with a nuclear Iran it exponentially increases. Many say that Iran has not initiated a war in over 200 years but they are constantly sabre-rattling. Why, then, is Obama and the rest of the world’s leaders negotiating on Iran’s nuclear program? editor 13 July 2016

By JTA.. Hossein Salami is deputy head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is under the command of the country’s Supreme Leader. The deputy commander of Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard said the country has over 100,000 missiles in Lebanon alone readied for the “annihilation” of Israel. Speaking before Friday (July 8, 2016) prayers on Iran’s state-run IRIB TV, Hossein Salami also said that Iran has “tens of thousands” of additional missiles that are ready to wipe the “accursed black dot” of Israel off the map, according to a translation from the Farsi by the Middle East Media Research Institute.
