The future Queen
In the previous chapter we saw that the resurrection body has the ability to move between the different eternal dimensions and our earthly reality, in the period between Jesus’ resurrection and ascension. Acts 1:3: “…He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the Kingdom of God, and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive…” [Picture top right: After many appearances to His disciples over 40 days, Jesus ascends to heaven. Acts 1:1-14 Contributed by LUMO project]. And when John contemplated His Coming in Glory, he said that we would not only see Him as He is, but we should be like Him. 1 John 3:2-3: “…Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. All who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure…”

This opens new perspectives with regard to the coming of the Kingdom, and our role therein. The glorified Jesus said, in Revelation 2:26-27, that He will not only rule the nations with a rod of iron in His Kingdom of justice and peace, but that He will share His power with us, the conquerors. We will be seen as the Queen on the side of the King. Will we be moving between dimensions? Will we be crossing over, as He did in an incredible, fantastic, unimaginable resurrection body? We cannot tell, but we can read the Scripture. “…To the one who is victorious and does My will to the end, I will give authority over the nations – that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’ – just as I have received authority from My Father…” This is a quotation from Psalm 2:9 about the Messiah-King.

Let us read the whole of Psalm 2: “…Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.’ The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the LORD scoffs at them. He rebukes them in His anger and terrifies them in His wrath, saying, ‘I have installed My King on Zion, My holy mountain.’ I will proclaim the LORD’s decree: He said to Me, ‘You are My son; today I have become Your Father. Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession’…” From verse 9 onward we read: “… You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery. Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate His rule with trembling. Kiss His son, or He will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for His wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him…”

It is certain that His Coming in Glory, together with us, will be the start of the Kingdom for Israel. She will no longer be the tail of the nations, but the head.

Micah 4:1-4: “…In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s Temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalt- ed above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the Temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the LORD Almighty has spoken…”

Micah 5:2-5 NKJV: “…But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old from everlasting. Therefore He shall give them up, until the time that she who is in labor has given birth; Then the remnant of His brethren shall return to the children of Israel. And He shall stand and feed His flock In the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the Name of the LORD His God; and they shall abide, for now He shall be great to the ends of the earth; and this One shall be [the] peace…” First the Messiah was born in Bethlehem, after the four hundred years of silence between the Old and the New Testaments. God’s final word was spoken, and the Holy Child was born by the power of the Holy Spirit. For the next two thousand years, Israel was spread around the globe. Jesus was from the tribe of Judah. Today we are seeing the return of the remnant of the ten northern tribes together with the remnant of the two tribes of Judah. And very soon He will come. “…He will stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the Name of the LORD His God. And they will live securely, for then His greatness will reach to the ends of the earth…” The Kingdom is coming! “…And this One shall be [the] peace…”

Jesus’ friends asked Him shortly before His Ascension: “Lord, will You restore the Kingship of Israel in this time?” He simply replied: “Not yet”. When will it then happen? Only the Father knows. The angels do not know; even the Son does not know this. But the Gospel of the Kingdom, rather than merely the Gospel in general, must be preached over all the earth, as a testimony to all the nations, and then the Kingdom will come.

This worldwide proclamation of the Gospel of the Kingdom will bring an end to this terrible period in world history. The restoration of the fig tree, Israel, will usher in the next phase of world history, the Coming of His Kingdom and the Coming of the King. Luke 21:29- 31: “…He told them this parable: ‘Look at the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the Kingdom of God is near’…” Mark 13:29 added: “…right at the door…”. In verses 30-31 Jesus commented: “…Truly I tell you, this generation [or: race, people, meaning Israel and the Jewish people] will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away…” Luke 22:28-30: “…You are those who have stood by Me in My trials. And I confer on you a Kingdom, just as My Father conferred one on Me, so that you may eat and drink at My table in My Kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel…”
