UNDP sponsors championship named after terrorist Abu Jihad

One of the striking components of the Abu Jihad events was the presentation of terror attacks that he planned and directed, which killed 125 Israelis, as positive achievements. (more…)
 

Palestinian Arab Museum that “Rewrites” History Funded by the West (Video)

Palestinian Authority officials on Thursday (April 18, 2013) joined a ceremony to lay the cornerstone for a new museum of “Palestinian culture, history and society”  in Birzeit near Ramallah. “The museum will not only be for Palestinians but will reach out to the whole world through an advanced digital network,” project manager Omar al-Qattan said as ground was broken on the new venture. “It will be more than a traditional building with archaeological relics. We are looking at an institution that will transcend all boundaries — geographical and political,” he added. (more…)

U.S. Government Files Motion to Dismiss Lawsuit that Claims it Helps Fund Palestinian Terror

The U.S. State Department has filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a group of Americans who claim U.S. aid money helps fund Palestinian terrorism. The 24 Americans now living in Israel who are the plaintiffs in the case filed the lawsuit in the United States District Court for Washington, DC in November claiming that the State Department had ignored congressional safeguards and transparency requirements which govern financial assistance to the PA. Obama receives chillier reception from Palestinians

By Israel Today Staff.. If President Shimon Peres was able to cover up Israelis’ general apathy regarding US President Barack Obama’s visit, the hostile response to the American leader’s arrival in Ramallah made it impossible to do the same among the Palestinian Arabs. As Obama entered the Palestinian Authority compound known as the “Muqata,” hundreds of angry protesters gathered outside holding up their shoes (a major insult in the Arab world) and demanding that the president leave “Palestine.” (more…)

 

Arab-Israeli Peace Agreements

Between 1993 and 2001, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA) signed six agreements with Israel and conducted countless meetings and summits to bring about a lasting peace between them. Each Israeli concession was met with Palestinian non-compliance and escalating violence. Six times, Palestinians failed to honor their commitments and increased their anti-Israeli aggressions. Finally, they broke every promise they made and began an all-out guerrilla war against Israel and its citizens. (more…)

 

Norwegian MP says government “indirectly” funds terrorism

By Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik.. Norwegian state-owned NRK TV launched an inquiry into Norway’s support of the PA’s general budget. The PA uses this budget to pay salaries of all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails for security offenses. Palestinian Media Watch has reported that the recipients of the monthly salary include all imprisoned terrorists including those serving multiple life sentences for murder. Palestinians mourn death of Hugo Chavez

By Israel Today Staff..  Tuesday’s (March 5, 2013) announcement that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez had lost his battle with cancer was met with much sadness in the Palestinian Authority-controlled territories. ”Palestine [sic] says goodbye to a loyal friend,” wrote senior Palestinian official Nabil Shaath, who hailed Chavez’s long antagonism of Israel in service to Palestinian nationalistic ambitions.

Peres gives historic speech to EU lawmakers

Israel’s President Shimon Peres told the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Tuesday (March 12, 2013) that the EU should classify Hezbollah as a terror group and that Israel’s new Cabinet created a chance for renewed peace talks with the Palestinians. “We appeal to you, call terror ‘terror,’” Peres told the European Union assembly in the first-ever speech by an Israeli president to the directly elected parliament of the 27 EU member states.
