Jesus the suffering Servant. In this season of Lent, it is fit to devote some thoughts to the prophecy of the suffering Messiah. The fourth hymn of the Servant of the Lord is one of the core texts, maybe even the central prophecy of the expiatory suffering and death of Christ. Jesus himself applied the words of Isaiah 53:5-6 and 11-12 to His suffering (e.g. Mark 10:45 en 14:41). (more…)

The Bible really says that! You and I can influence the timing of the return of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. How? By looking forward to His return. That sounds ridiculous, however that’s exactly what it says. But how do you look forward to that day, you may wonder. By hoping in Him, the Lion of Judah.
