Biblical Reflections – Lake of Fire

editor 11 January 2018

By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer.. “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have You come here to torture us before the appointed time?” (Matthew 8:28-32) “Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matthew 25:41) “And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Revelation 20:10) “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12). Biblical Reflections on Israel 9-10

editor 13 March 2014

By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer.. The cloud was there and came on the Mount of Olives and through that heavenly curtain Jesus went into the heavenlies. And the angels said: “What are you staring at the heavens? This same Jesus will come back in the same way as you have seen him go.” “And His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. From there He will enter into the city. Sit on the throne of His father David. And the Glory of the Lord will fill the Temple.” But the devil will say: “If I have those two mountains, this can never happen!” (more…)

Biblical Reflections on Israel 8-10

editor 6 March 2014

By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer.. The West Bank has always been the heart land of Israel. The problem is not just the West Bank, the problem is the East Bank, because that was part of the Promised Land as well. You know your Bibles. When the twelve tribes under Joshua entered into the Promised Land, did they only live in the area west of the Jordan? There were two-and-a-halve tribes living on the other side. Which ones? Ruven, Gad and half the tribe of Manasseh. When you read the prophet Ezekiel – Edom – meaning Jordan, Jordania will be destroyed. (more…)

Focus on the Future (Series 3 / Episode 3)

editor 1 May 2013

By Rev Willem Glashouwer.. The prophecies in the Bible are like slides. They contain a lot of details and show what the future will look like. Led by the Holy Spirit, the prophets described them to us. These prophetic slides do not present a road map. There is only one order of events in the Bible and that is Matthew 24. When the disciples ask: “Lord, how will we know that You come back in Glory?” Jesus starts telling about these events. (more…)

By Rev. Willem Glashouwer.. Everyone wants to know, what will the future hold? What’s going to happen, tomorrow and next year? Where will planet earth go, what will be my personal future? And some people even go that far that they open their newspaper and look at their horoscope. The signs of the Zodiac. They know when they were born and then they know under which sign of the stars they are born. They read what their horoscope tells them, what will happen today and tomorrow, what positive things, what negative things. And they really believe it. Because they want to know, how will my future be? (more…)

Focus on the future (6-12)

Rev. Willem Glashouwer 3 October 2012

What will happen in your life? What will happen on planet earth? There is one book that speaks very clearly about all of this and that book is the Bible. The greatest prophet that has ever been is Jesus Christ. And He speaks about that future. There is a beautiful chapter in the New Testament, Matthew 24, where He sums up all the things that will happen to planet earth, before He comes in glory! He is speaking of wars and rumours of wars, martyrdom, earthquakes, famine and lawlessness. He’s speaking of a dark period that will come over the planet that has never been there and after that never will be there again. But He has positive signs as well. (more…)
