Israeli Settlements: Facts About Jewish Settlements in the West Bank

editor 29 March 2017

By Mitchell G. Bard.. History of the Settlement Movement

Following Israel’s resounding defeat of the invading Arab armies in the Six-Day War, strategic concerns led both of Israel’s major political parties – the Labor and Likud – to support and establish settlements at various times. The first settlements were built by Labor governments from 1968 to 1977, with the explicit objective to secure a Jewish majority in key strategic regions of the West Bank – such as the Tel AvivJerusalem corridor – that were the scene of heavy fighting in several of the Arab-Israeli wars. The Crusader Revival: Banning Jews From The Heart of Jerusalem

editor 8 February 2017

By Shlomo Slonim.. Fortunately for Israel, resolution 2334, with its proclamation that the definitive boundary is that of June 4, ’67, is simply an exercise in futility. UN Security Council resolution 2334 of December 23, 2016 is designed to redivide Jerusalem and to stamp Israeli authority, currently exercised throughout the city, as illegal. In effect, it would put the Jewish Quarter, as well as the Temple Mount and the Western Wall, under Muslim authority, and make all Jewish residents in the outlying suburbs of Jerusalem into squatters earmarked for expulsion, since the resolution marks them as “settlers.” [Photo top right: General view of Jerusalem’s Old City – Photo credit: Reuters]. Why Trump Should Move US Embassy to Jerusalem

editor 21 January 2017

By Kenneth Lasson.. It’s a wonder that US passports for people born in Israel’s holy city don’t list them as having entered the world in “Occupied Jerusalem.” If President-elect Donald Trump is as much a man of his word as he says he is, he’ll move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem shortly after he takes office. There are good diplomatic and constitutional reasons for him to do so. [Photo top right: The US embassy in Tel Aviv. (photo credit:REUTERS)] (more…)

Israel is the legal occupant of the West Bank, says the Court of Appeal of Versailles, France

editor 17 January 2017

By Dreuz.info – Jean Patrick Grumberg.. In a historical trial carefully « forgotten » by the media, the 3rd Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Versailles declares that Israel is the legal occupant of the West Bank*.

When I first learned that the Court of Appeal of Versailles ruled that West bank settlements and occupation of Judea Samaria by Israel is unequivocally legal under international law, in a suit brought by the Palestinian Authority against Jerusalem’s light rail built by French companies Alstom and Veolia, that received no media coverage, I decided to put to work my years of Law Studies in France, and I meticulously analyzed the Court ruling. What would happen if…

editor 14 January 2017

By Paula R. Stern..Yesterday (January 8, 2016), four soldiers were murdered by an Arab who decided that ramming his truck would in some way serve his god. A dozen more were wounded, most lightly. This morning, I got a note from a father asking what would happen if… (more…)

Jerusalem, the UN and the times of the Gentiles

editor 12 January 2017

By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer.. When we see what is happening in the UN at the moment, we are reminded of what our Lord said about Jerusalem. Jesus spoke a lot about Jerusalem, and what would happen to Jerusalem in the future. He said “Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled”. This has something to do with His coming again, at the end of the age. Is that the time we are living in?   (more…)

Palestine Rage: Abbas Aide Says If Donald Trump Moves Embassy To Jerusalem It Will Cause All-Out War…..

editor 12 January 2017

By Lance Goodall.. If President-elect Donald Trump makes good on his promise to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, it would be considered “a declaration of war” on all Muslims, the Palestinian Authority’s supreme Sharia judge Mahmoud Al-Habbash [pictured ] declared on Friday (January 6, 2017). This is exactly what we have been telling our readers for a year now. The Palestinians claim Jerusalem as their capital, a ridiculous assertion, and will fight to the death if President Trump recognizes Jerusalem as belonging to the Jews, which it rightfully does.
