Jerusalem is not Occupied Territory

editor 5 August 2017

By Eli E. Hertz.. Resolution 242 was adopted after the 1967 Six-Day War, when Israel was attacked by, and captured territory from, Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. However, the resolution never mentions Jerusalem, nor does U.N. Resolution 242 call for a full withdrawal from territory captured but merely a withdrawal to “secure and recognized boundaries” that are to be negotiated by the parties concerned. Palestinian Arabs were not a party to the resolution. (more…)

Massive Infrastructure to Transport Millions of Pilgrims to Third Temple Underway

editor 14 July 2017

By Joshua Wander.. “Thou shalt also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Hashem, and a royal diadem in the open hand of thy God.” Isaiah 62:3. For the first time in approximately 2,000 years, since the time of the Second Temple, plans are being formed by the Israeli government to build an effective infrastructure for Jews to make their obligatory pilgrimage to the Temple in Jerusalem. God commands in the Bible that all Jews make their way to the Temple three times a year. City of the Great King

editor 2 July 2017

By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer..
Part I: Jerusalem, the Eternal Dwelling Place

When Israel reclaimed Jerusalem in 1967, it made the hearts of devout Jews skip a beat. Would this be the moment the Temple would be rebuilt? And if so, where would that be? Of course, many Jews said that Jerusalem should be the place, on top of Mount Zion, where the temples of Solomon and Zerubbabel had been. It would be built in the same location that the Temple was destroyed by the heathen nations, Babel and Rome. But why build it in Jerusalem? (more…)

On the Future of Jerusalem

editor 30 June 2017

By David M. Weinberg.. BESA Center Perspectives No. 510, June 27, 2017

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: A close look at the situation in eastern Jerusalem reveals contradictory movements: radical Islamicization vs. closer integration with Jewish Jerusalem. Both trends are on the rise simultaneously. Despite the complicated circumstances, united Jerusalem under exclusive Israeli sovereignty is the key, not an obstacle, to peace and security in the city. Aggressive Surge in Israeli Settlement Activity Under Netanyahu Imperils Trump Peace Push (Not)

editor 29 May 2017

By Bennett Ruda.. Because there is no aggressive surge—in fact settlements have not grown in years. According to Peace Now, which is unlikely to undercount the number of existing settlements, there are a total of 131 settlements and 91 outposts in the West Bank. In April 2012, Peace Now reported the establishment of three settlements:

According to reports, Prime Minister Netanyahu stated this week that the government will approve the establishment of three settlements (Bruchin, Sansana and Rechalim), in the upcoming cabinet meeting on Sunday, April 22 … If approved next Sunday, it will be the first time since the Shamir government in 1990 that the Israeli government is deciding on the establishment of new settlements. Trump Joins Up The Dots

editor 27 May 2017

By Melanie Phillips.. Now it becomes clear why President Trump selected as the destinations of his current tour Riyadh, Jerusalem and Rome. He is re-setting the foreign policy debate around the factor which is both fundamental and at the same time systematically ignored. He is reframing it as a conflict over religion. (more…)

The Day Jerusalem was Reunited

editor 26 May 2017

By Paula R. Stern.. Rabbi Emanuel Feldman’s book, The 28th of Iyar accomplishes something amazing. For most people, experiencing war is something simply not on their radar. If in their lifetime there is a war, it is on distant shores. Though only a small child at the time, I have vague memories of the Vietnam War – I remember the news broadcasts with casualty figures in the top corner on the side. That’s pretty much all they were – numbers. In America, it was life as normal. (more…)

Israel Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Reunification of Jerusalem

editor 25 May 2017

By JCPA.. Would somebody dare saying that Mecca is not connected to the Muslim religion? That Rome is not connected to Christianity?  Nobody would dare, but UNESCO went down to the lowest point of its history by denying the Jerusalem connection to the Jewish people. It’s a ridiculous disgusting lie.  The UN resolution is shameful, simply put it erases three millennia of archaeological, historical, and religious documentation which is backed by history and archaeology in Jewish, Christian, and even Muslim sources. Innocent Palestinian Girl Shot by Israeli Troops in Jerusalem

editor 22 May 2017

By Paula R. Stern.. A 16 year old Palestinian girl died yesterday. It’s true, she did. CNN will tell you. BBC will attempt to inform you. Reuters will shout it to the world. Even Times of Israel and Haaretz will quickly report about this and their reporters will mourn for that innocent child. That Innocent Child was shot by Israeli soldiers (never mind that the soldiers were not much older than the child). She was an innocent child, the daughter of someone. She’ll never live to marry, to bring children into this world. She’ll never raise them… (more…)
