Did the EU just back Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount?

editor 19 May 2013

By Ryan Jones.. Israel might have just scored European Union support for finally allowing Jews the right to pray atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, the holiest site in the world for Jews and many Christians. Whether or not it was her intent, EU High Representative Catherine Ashton on Friday issued a call for religious freedom in Jerusalem that by definition must also include Jewish access to the Temple Mount. editor 18 May 2013

By Ryan Jones.. Five Jewish men were arrested on Wednesday (May 8, 2013) for quietly praying atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, an expression of faith that caused the many Muslims around them to explode in fury. Police stationed at the sensitive holy site said a mob of Muslims gathered around the Jewish men, hurling insults and nearly coming to blows before Islamic officials stepped in to restore calm on the condition the Jewish worshipers be arrested. Israel celebrates reunification of Jerusalem

editor 18 May 2013

By Israel Today Staff.. Israelis on Wednesday (May 8, 2013) marked Jerusalem Day, the 46th anniversary of the reunification of the city during the Six Day War. Israel never intended to reunite Jerusalem when it launched a preemptive strike on the gathering armies of Egypt and Syria in 1967. But when Jordan’s King Hussein succumbed to Egyptian pressure and opened a third front against the Jewish state, the opportunity to fulfill the hopes of generations presented itself. (more…)

WARS IN THE MIDDLE EAST

Rev. Willem Glashouwer 15 May 2013

By Rev Willem Glashouwer.. We have to study the larger end-time picture, before placing  the Middle Eastern wars under the magnifying glass. Then we will know where we are heading for. The unfolding of this phase of world history is at hand. We are rapidly approaching the appearance of the final world empire. Everything that once was in the Biblical Empires of the past (Daniel 2) will be appearing once again on the world-scene, all united and condensed within this final empire. (more…)

Jerusalem Day Celebrated with Flags and Memories

editor 8 May 2013

By Anav Silverman.. “It felt like Messiah had come,” says Avigail Shlesinger, 81, of the day Jerusalem was liberated from the Jordan army 46 years ago. Shlesinger, who is from a six-generation Jerusalem family, recalls what life was like in the Holy City during the time that the Jordanians were in control from 1948 to 1967. “It was a dangerous era,” she tells Tazpit News Agency.  “There were areas in the city like King George Street where barriers had to be built to stop the bullets that Jordanian soldiers would shoot towards us.” (more…)

Shabbat Shalom – Boston Bombers, Syria, Mahane Yehuda

editor 4 May 2013
By Sheila Raviv.. Shabbat Shalom dear Friends. The rain went away and the heat came upon us, late, but oh my goodness – it arrived!!! The plot thickens, as we knew it would. Few thought that the Boston Bombers worked alone. Few thought that this was their only target. No-one honestly believed that it all started because the brother was not welcomed with open arms into his new society – immigrants have to work hard for acceptance wherever they are from and wherever they go to. Arab Muslim is new head of Jerusalem’s top emergency room

editor 29 April 2013

By Israel Today Staff.. In yet another story debunking the ongoing lie that Israel practices apartheid against the Arabs of the region, an Arab Muslim was recently chosen as the new director of the emergency department at Jerusalem’s Hadassah University Medical Center. In addition to being one of the top hospitals in the entire Middle East, Hadassah Medical Center is owned by the Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization of America. And they chose an Arab to head one of their most important departments because he was the best candidate. Think about that for a minute, and then try to convince yourself that Israel is an apartheid state. (more…)
