By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer.. When we see what is happening in the UN at the moment, we are reminded of what our Lord said about Jerusalem. Jesus spoke a lot about Jerusalem, and what would happen to Jerusalem in the future. He said “Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled”. This has something to do with His coming again, at the end of the age. Is that the time we are living in? (more…)

By WJC.. NEW YORK – The World Jewish Congress, United States (WJC-US) today condemned the Modern Language Association (MLA) Delegate Assembly for adopting a one-sided and biased resolution blaming Israel for its “denials of entry to the West Bank by US academics who have been invited to teach, confer, or do research at Palestinian universities.” (more…)
By Hillel Fendel.. Jacques Gauthier, a non-Jewish Canadian lawyer who spent 20 years researching the legal status of Jerusalem, has concluded: “Jerusalem belongs to the Jews, by international law.” Gauthier has written a doctoral dissertation on the topic of Jerusalem and its legal history, based on international treaties and resolutions of the past 90 years. The dissertation runs some 1,300 pages, with 3,000 footnotes. Gauthier had to present his thesis to a world-famous Jewish historian and two leading international lawyers – the Jewish one of whom has represented the Palestinian Authority on numerous occasions.
By David Shayne.. This week (November 29, 2013) marks the 66thanniversary of one of the more celebrated events in modern Jewish history: The United Nations General Assembly decision to partition the British Mandate of Palestine into two independent states – one Jewish and the other Arab, adopted Nov. 29, 1947.
The Arab world with one voice bitterly condemned what was called “the Partition Plan” and threatened to destroy the Jewish State if it was declared. (more…)
By Herb Keinon.. Frans Timmermans says double standard is caused by Europe viewing Israel as a European country. Europe judges Israel by a different standard than other countries in the region because it is seen as a “European country” that should be judged by European standards, Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans said Monday. By Israel Today Staff.. Australia recently surprised everyone by abstaining on two UN General Assembly resolutions targeting Israel, signaling that the folks “down under” are growing fed up with the world body’s biased approach to the Israeli-Arab conflict.
Like most other nations, Australia typically votes in favor of the dozens of UN resolutions targeting Israel every year. By the end of the General Assembly’s current session, it will have passed 22 resolutions against Israel, and only four against the rest of the world combined.
Australian media wondered: why the change? (more…)
By Chuck and Karen Cohen.. As Bible believers, it is amazing and frustrating to perceive what is happening in the world today while all the ‘wise and mighty’ act like fools. We see Satan trying to destroy Israel. We see the ascent of the humanistic spirit, crushing all foes in a post-Christian West, preparing the way for the ultimate Humanist, the Anti-Christ, Mr. ‘666’ = ‘Man-Man-Man’. And we see the Spirit of Islam’s lies blinding the West into thinking of it as a religion of peace. (more…)
By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer.. The presence of the Jews among the nations of the world over the last 2000 years has been a blessing for these nations. Before Gentiles came to Christ, they were even without God, Paul says in Ephesians 2:11-12: “…Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (that done in the body by the hands of men)— remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world…” (more…)
By Aviel Scheider.. After two Israeli professors living in the US won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry this year, it begs the question: Why have Jews been so successful in this realm, despite their proportionately small population? Approximately 20 percent or 1 in 5 of Nobel Prize laureates are Jews, yet Jews make up less than 0.2 percent of the world’s population. (more…)
