Waiting on the Tenth

By Paula R. Stern..Once, a few years ago, I was standing in Rome Airport when I noticed a few men gathering together. They were Jews looking for the 10th man to make a minyan – a quorum required for certain prayers. Once, almost a decade ago, I was driving with a few friends and as the afternoon slipped into evening, I asked one of the men if he wanted me to stop the car so he could pray the afternoon services. “Not yet,” he told me. It was getting later and later and I asked a few more times. Each time, he smiled and said, “not yet.” (more…)

Anti-Semitism in Europe: The Hate That Never Goes Away

editor 23 March 2017

By Joseph Puder.. “Demonizing Jews while embracing their murderers—keeps European anti-Semitism thriving.” The latest appeal letter by the World Jewish Congress (WJC), written by its President, Ambassador Ronald S. Lauder, headlined “Is it Time for Jews to Leave Europe?” Lauder cited recent violent attacks against Jews.  Current polls indicate moreover, that a majority of European Jews do not feel comfortable wearing clothing or jewelry that identifies them as Jews.  Lauder added, “Make no mistake…the safety and security of European Jewry is in Jeopardy.” [Photo top right: The base of the Statue de la République is defaced with a swastika as a protest in support of Palestinians turns anti-Semitic, Paris, July 26, 2014. By Rev Willem J.J. Glashouwer.. From the book Why End Times? Chapter 2 – Eschatological Science Fiction

The first trumpet
When the first angel blows his trumpet, hail and fire come forth, mixed with blood. On the earth a third of the earth burns, together with a third of all trees and all the green grass. Natural scientists have actually compared the trumpet judgements with the development of a worldwide nuclear war, whereby all the modern weapon systems are to be used successively, with the result that each one brings on the next as it were – a chain reaction of violence.
