The spirit of anti-Semitism keeps rearing its head, even among those who should know better. Robin Shepherd reports that a senior UK Liberal-Democrat recently recommended investigating claims that Israelis have been harvesting bodily organs in Haiti. How cynical and twisted can you get? It was the Israeli’s who were the first to mobilize specialist support teams in Haiti! And still people seem determined to demonize the Jews.
The well-organized and exceptionally equipped Israeli team spared no time or effort to assist the beleaguered Haitian population in Port-au-Prince. Without wasting time, the Israeli team of 250 people, including 120 soldiers co-coordinating the operation, set out to save lives. A CNN news team was present in the area, and journalist Elizabeth Cohen visited some of the aid posts. she was stunned to see the Israeli field hospital.
