They Claim to Speak for God (Part 1)

By T.A. Mc Mahon.. A very large part of Christendom in the United States is enamored with those who claim to speak for God. If you think that’s an overstatement, simply tune into some of the programing on Trinity Broadcasting Network or some of the other cable religious networks. What you will see are churches filled with thousands of Christians hanging on to every word of a man or a woman who is declaring what God has just revealed to him or her. Iran admits to providing Hamas with weapons

Iran has admitted to supplying military aid to Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Iranian parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Wednesday: “We are honored to provide the Palestinian people with military aid, while all Arabic countries do is hold meetings. Palestinian people do not need lectures and meetings”, according to the parliament’s website. Israel has repeatedly accused Iran of supplying Hamas with its Fajr-5 missile, used to target Tel Aviv last week. (more…)

What do you consider to be the Second Most Important Sign?

At first thought the apostasy of the Church came to mind, because of all the rash of weird and unscriptural movements such as the Emerging Church, the Word of Faith, Yoga and mysticism entering the church, but honestly I think the most prominent ‘second’ sign is that as defined in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 which does in fact contain elements of the falling away of the Church. Israel on the doorstep of a new Islamic Republic

To the consternation of many throughout the region, Egypt’s election commission on Sunday announced that Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Morsi would be the next president of the largest and most powerful Arab state. (more…)

Who is in control of world history? God or man?

Collapse of the euro, Arab Spring, the rise of extreme Islam, global warming ….. Are we heading for disaster? As Christians we are faced with a fundamental choice. We are inclined to forget that God created this world, and that He is in full control of its redemption. Sometimes with good intentions, sometimes through ignorance, we think that WE have to redeem the world, and save it from destruction. But there is another way of looking at things. And that is to study God’s word and discover how HE intends to fulfil His promise to Abraham – “I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you … and all peoples of the earth will be blessed through you”. A new documentary series produced by Hatikvah Trust and presented by Lance Lambert is intended to help us discover God’s plans to save this earth. (more…)
