Israel, the land of God’s promise

editor 8 March 2010

Israel is the most misunderstood nation on the planet. The Jewish people are the most consistently persecuted in all of history ‘ancient and modern’. Why? Can the Church afford to pursue its historically notorious treatment of the Jew and the nation of Israel? This book offers clarity where confusion abounds. The author compels us to examine Church history and Jewish history in the light of God’s word. (more…)

A New Envoy to the United Nations of Islam

editor 3 March 2010

By Mark Durie. Last weekend President Obama announced the appointment of Rashad Hussain as Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. This appointment warrants careful consideration because of the problematic mission and track record of the OIC, which has embraced an intolerant religious agenda antagonistic to international human rights standards.

And I defend the right of the Jewish people to live in Palestine in safety and security.  So who and what am I? When I read the Christian media, I discover that I am a “Christian Zionist”.

Kees de Vreugd 26 August 2009

By Kees de Vreugd
Christian Zionism has been the subject of several, mainly critical studies. Not just in the ‘mainline’ churches, but also from within the evangelical movement Christian Zionism has been under attack. It is therefore a relief to read the study by Paul Richard Wilkinson, For Zion’s Sake. Christian Zionism and the Role of John Nelson Darby. (Milton Keynes (UK) 2007. ISBN: 978-1-84227-569-6) (more…)

Defiance: The Bielski Partisans

editor 1 July 2009

By Gavriel Horan
In 2008 the impressive film ‘Defiance’ was produced telling the story about the Jewish Bielski brothers. This band of Jews roamed the forests, terrorizing the Nazi regime at every opportunity, looting villages and local farms – while rescuing jewish men, women, and children from the ghettos and bringing them to safety in the woods. These fighters were known as the “Bielski Partisans,” named after the three charismatic brothers who led them. (more…)
