“Palestinian Theologian” Trashes “Palestinian Theology”

editor 23 January 2012

By Malcolm Lowe.. For over two decades, parts of the Christian world have been bemused by the writings of self-styled “Palestinian Christian theologians.” Since their brightest lights are Protestant pastors, they are minor figures among the overwhelmingly Orthodox and Catholic faithful of the Holy Land. But they are strangely popular in Liberal Protestant circles abroad and especially beloved of church bureaucrats. (more…)

Will Palestinian Reconciliation Lead to a Hamas Takeover of the PLO?

editor 13 January 2012

By Jonathan D. Halevi.. The groundwork for an historic change in the Palestinian arena was laid in Cairo at the end of December 2011. Mahmoud Abbas, chairman of the Palestinian Authority and leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Fatah movement, paved the way for a new partnership with Hamas and Islamic Jihad in running the affairs of the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza and in representing all the Palestinian geographic communities. Such a “Great” Idea it can now be proclaimed but not criticized: Obama supports the Muslim Brotherhood

editor 11 January 2012

By Barry Rubin.. This is a long article but it deals with an amazing historical development:
1. The U.S. government is openly supporting an anti-American, radical, authoritarian, antisemitic, anti-Christian, and anti-women rights’ movements and regimes.
2. We are told that this policy is so superb that nobody can criticize it on its merits. Any criticism is in fact a partisan effort to defeat Obama at the polls. (more…)

Is Israeli society unraveling?

editor 11 January 2012

By Caroline Glick.. On balance, Israeli society is extremely healthy. Unemployment is at record lows. At a time of global recession, the Israeli economy is growing steadily. Israeli Jewish women have the highest fertility rate in the Western world with an average of three children per woman. Education levels have risen dramatically across the board over the past decade with dozens of private colleges opening their doors to more and more sectors of the population. (more…)

The Arab Spring as a Security Threat to Israel

editor 6 January 2012

By Emerson Vermaat.. The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported early November 2011 that the black Al-Qaeda flag was waving on top of the Benghazi court house. Some rebels reportedly also displayed this flag as they drove in their vehicles and cried: “Islam, Islam! Neither East nor West!” This referred to the traditional rivalry between Eastern and Western Libya. If true, such things show that Muslim extremists in Libya want to create an Islamic state ruled by Islamic law or Sharia, replacing the previous dictatorship with another one. This is just what happened in Iran back in 1979. (more…)

editor 4 January 2012

By Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik.. At a ceremony marking the 24th anniversary of the founding of Hamas, Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Ismail Haniyeh said that Hamas may work for the “interim objective of liberation of Gaza, the West Bank, or Jerusalem,” but that this “interim objective” and “reconciliation” with Fatah will not change Hamas’ long-term “strategic” goal of eliminating all of Israel (more…)

The Church of England must take action against Rev Stephen Sizer

editor 4 January 2012

By Rev Nick Howard.. The word ‘racist’ probably brings to mind a skinhead with a snarling face. But this image can blind us to the presence of well-spoken racists in very respectable jobs, who can capitalise on their social status to inflict more serious long-term damage than their counterparts on the streets. A prime example of this is one of my fellow Anglicans, Rev Stephen Sizer, vicar of  Christ Church Virginia Water. (more…)

editor 4 January 2012

The Israel Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church USA is an organization created by the PC(USA)’s 2004 General Assembly to educate Presbyterians about the Arab-Israeli conflict. Under the cover of this mission, the IPMN traffics in anti-Zionist and in some instances, anti-Semitic, propaganda which it broadcasts not only to members of the PC(USA), but to the general public.
