A watertight system
Europe has already experienced many revolutions: the French Revolution, the Communist Revolution, Hitler’s Third Reich, each with wonderful promises and fantastic slogans, hope seen through rose-coloured prospects, freedom, equality and fraternity. The classless society, the thousand year Reich of the Brownshirts and the Blackshirts (the study of how the new administrative systems, the first primitive computers in the Third Reich came into being, in which IBM was fully involved, is interesting). The administrative systems with those old-fashioned vulnerable card-index boxes were to disappear and the system was to be made watertight in order that no one could ever again escape from the grasp of the Nazis. This did not come to pass, fortunately! But it will be different in the future. Technology has moved on. New Empires are on the rise in the name of Man, with many nice promises, social justice and peace, prosperity for all, etc., but all in the name of Man, to glorify and even deify Mankind itself.

A brave new world
The new Europe is developing in the name of Man. Man making a name for himself, like we read about the Tower of Babel, Genesis 11:4: “…Then they said, ‘Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.’”

A phoenix is rising from the ashes of the unimaginable world conflagrations of the last century – world wars that left Europe in ruins. This is a breath-taking ‘Brave New World’ in manufacture. A new form of humanism is arising that is sometimes combined with a new kind of religious awareness often that of ‘New Age’. Even the Pope was unable to stop the omission in Europe’s proposed new constitution of any mentioning of God, or of the Jewish-Christian traditions. Values that have shaped and put their stamp on Europe for centuries. No God and no master. Man on the throne – who considers himself to be a god in the depth of its being. Man is fallen man, however. Rebellion against God flows in his veins and the forces of darkness are ready to go a step further and do their bidding from hell, imposing their will upon fallen man, with satan as the grand master in the background. In spite of all the fine slogans of new Empires on the rise the end will be terrible.

Will ‘the system’ soon succeed in registering and checking on everyone in a completely watertight manner? The economic boycott seems to suggest that there will always be a few faithful believing ‘dissidents’ in Israel and among the nations whom the powers of the New Empire will hunt down to catch in this almost perfect administrative way – an economic boycott. That will make the assault of the Arab countries on Israel in the Seventies and Eighties of the last century look like child’s play.

Administration and registration by computers is almost perfect. And everyone goes along with it and uses it: the small, the great, the poor, the rich, freemen and slaves. And it can exclude all dissidents. The tables will eventually be turned, however, and then the very same people – kings and the great, rulers, the rich, the powerful and slaves and freemen will cry out: “…Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb’” (Revelation 6:15-16).

Humanity will consist of two kinds of people in the end: those who bear the sign of God on their forehead and those who bear the sign of the beast on their forehead and their right hand. We have heard that pious Jews wind their prayer-straps around their left arm – close to the heart – and on their forehead – close to their minds – containing the confession of The Name in the little boxes with the text from Deuteronomy 6. Many Christians receive the sign of Holy Baptism on their forehead: ‘in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’. The 144,000 are sealed on their fore- heads. Revelation 7:3: “…Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” This is not a visible, outward sign, but it is spiritual, signed and sealed in the heart. Isaiah 44:5: “…Some will say, ‘I belong to the LORD’; others will call themselves by the name of Jacob; still others will write on their hand, ‘The LORD’s,’ and will take the name Israel.” To be His possession, with head, heart and hand, and living under His protection.

Conclusion
So, who is THE antichrist? He is someone of great arrogance, who reaches the summit of human power at the conclusion of the End Times. He will proudly allow himself to take precedence and set himself above Almighty God and the chosen people of the Lord, and he will persecute Jews and Christians/Israel and the Church. He will even finally lead a godless world into a battle that is profoundly directed against Jesus Christ Himself. Revelation 16:13-15 says: “…Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty. ‘Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed’” and then verse 16 follows “…Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

However, this will then also, right away, be the beginning of the end of THE antichrist. Daniel 11:45 says: “…He will pitch his royal tents be- tween the seas at the beautiful holy mountain (in Israel, therefore). Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.” When THE antichrist comes to Armageddon, he will incur the wrath of Jesus, the Messiah. Christ will strip THE antichrist of all his power and destroy his god- less world government. Daniel 7:25-27: “…He will speak against the Most High and oppress His holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time. ‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting Kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey Him.’”

In the end, in spite of all the unbelievable power the beast has ac- quired, which the great dictators of the past could only dream about, THE antichrist ends up in the lake of fire and brimstone. Revelation 19:20-21: “…But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulphur. The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the Rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.”

A much more important question is Who is Jesus Christ? For knowing the answer to the first question does not help you unless you also know the answer to the second question. What is important, if you do not want to share in the eternal judgement of THE antichrist and his accomplices, is that you know who Jesus Christ is, and that you have personal faith and a personal relationship with Him. This is possible through active faith and by the grace of God. He is the King of the kings and the Lord of lords, Who will come soon to make everything eternally new! 1 John 5:12 says: “…Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
