Why Israel?

Collapse of the euro, Arab Spring, the rise of extreme Islam, global warming ….. Are we heading for disaster? As Christians we are faced with a fundamental choice. We are inclined to forget that God created this world, and that He is in full control of its redemption. Sometimes with good intentions, sometimes through ignorance, we think that WE have to redeem the world, and save it from destruction. But there is another way of looking at things. And that is to study God’s word and discover how HE intends to fulfil His promise to Abraham – “I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you … and all peoples of the earth will be blessed through you”. A new documentary series produced by Hatikvah Trust and presented by Lance Lambert is intended to help us discover God’s plans to save this earth.

“Israel – The Womb of the Kingdom of God on Earth” is the first documentary in the “Blessing, Curse or Coincidence?” trilogy.

It is about God’s decision to save the world, and Man’s attempts to oppose it. Central to the execution of God’s purpose to redeem mankind is the nation of Israel. We also see how God deals with those who oppose His purposes. This is what the Lord’s promise to Abraham “I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you” is all about (Genesis 12:3).

The whole trilogy is presented by Lance Lambert and this first documentary is packed with foundational Biblical teaching on God’s covenant purposes. The two-hour DVD is divided into nine chapters and is accompanied by brief Bible study notes for use in small groups.
